The Movie Deal

As one who is totally enamored with the ability to watch anything in my Netflix streaming queue on my Roku box, there’s part of this story that I like – more streaming content from Warner Brothers.  However, I’m not liking the fact that Netflix caved the the studio’s request for a 28 day window between DVD’s being “for sale” and “for rent”.

This will please the movie industry: Netflix has agreed to a 28-day window before it rents Warner Bros. DVDs and Blu-ray discs after they go on sale. The idea is that this will allow Warner Bros. to sell more discs, which is more lucrative than rentals [...]
